This year, I have chosen
several cookie recipes that are savoury and sweet. Particularly like this one which is savoury
with the use of Parmesan cheese and crispy potato chips.
These cookies has a nice
onion aroma, sweet, savoury and crispy.
Again, these are addictive and you will have more in one go.

Kimmy, this is so interesting! Those are my favorite potato chips flavor. So incorporating it into cookies, I can't stop eating. LOL!
ReplyDeleteHi Phong Hong, I fell in love with this cookie after trying one and so 'sayang' to giveaway. Not only is there potato chips but there are walnuts and Parmesan cheese too, that make it so special. But still have to give a canister each to my mum and mother in-law. I sure will bake another batch in a bigger size for my afternoon snack after the festive season.
ReplyDeleteHi Kimmy. Looks like you are on a cookie baking marathon. Haha. I really must try this . So interesting combo and I like savoury sweet cookies. So the parmesan cheese is it powder or grated type ? Thanks for sharing and generosity. Chloe
ReplyDeleteHi Chloe, as usual have to speed up my baking cos' there is so much to do at home and also some community services that needs my attention. I used the Parmesan Cheese powder. You should try this if you like savoury sweet cookies. These are good and I intend to bake some again for my own consumption, hahaha! Happy Chinese New Year greetings to you and family.
ReplyDeleteThanks Kimmy. I happen to have some parmesan cheese powder so will try and update you. I hear you. There is always so much to do at this time of the year. Happy and prosperous cny to you and family. Chloe
ReplyDeleteHi Chloe, I think your kids will love these cookies. Agree there are ample things to do for CNY but things would be much easier in my own home. I usually plan well so as not to stress myself yet get to enjoy festive time. This is not the case when I'm at my MIL's place as I have no control of what has to be done, only need to get instructions from my MIL.
ReplyDeleteOh, I have made potato chip cookies before and Mark loved them as he loves anything to do with potato chips! That said, my recipe did not have walnuts in it and I am thinking those walnuts are a great idea. Your cookies look so good.
ReplyDeleteHi Kayte, children and adults would love this cookie for it onion/sour cream tastes. Walnuts give this cookie an addition taste and texture.
ReplyDeleteInteresting cookies, Kimmy! I have a potato chips cookie recipe in one of the local cookbooks but have never attempted it before. Your cookies would be lovely with warm chinese tea!
ReplyDeleteMy MIL used to make potato chip cookies but only with plain chips and no cheese. I have to try these. I know they would be a hit here.
ReplyDeleteHi Joyce, these cookies are nice, savoury and not sweet. Good for festive times when there are lots of sweet desserts.
ReplyDeletehi Kimmy,
ReplyDeleteI want to try this too.
before that, I like to know will the potato chip soften when store away in the airtight container?
Hi Lynn, no worries, the baked cookies with the chips will stay crispy in the airtight container.
