Curry Burgers, has anyone tried making this at home? This is again one simple and easy recipe to
prepare yet the result is awesome. The
name says mini but you can make them into any size you prefer - small, medium to large. Mine here is considered as mini as I prepared
this to serve with rice.
It is not spicy for my tastebuds but aromatic with the addition of
shallots, garlic and coriander leaves.
These are best eaten immediately so as to enjoy the juicy meat burgers.

Recipe adapted from Yum Yum Magazine No. 78 with slight
modifications

30 gm garlic – peeled and chopped
1 red chilli – seeded and chopped
1 stalk coriander leaves – chopped
4-5 tbsp bread crumbs
2 eggs
Seasoning
2-3 tbsp meat curry powder
1 tsp salt to taste
1 tbsp cornstarch
- In a mixing bowl, combine minced meat with seasoning. Mix well then add in the remaining ingredients.
- Stir into a thick paste, then divide into equal portions and form into balls.
- Slightly flatten the meatballs to form patties before frying. You can deep fry or pan fry these patties over medium hot oil until golden brown.
- Dish and drain before serving immediately.

Kimmy, this must be very tasty with the curry powder. Can make into spice "bak wan" and eat with rice also very nice.
ReplyDeleteHi Kimmy,
ReplyDeleteIt looks so yummy! Even the name Mini Curry Burgers already sounds delicious!
Hi Phong Hong, yes you can transform it into bak wan. A matter of shape but for bak wan needs to be deep fried for even cooking. Make it thin, you can eat it with buns. Versatile...
ReplyDeleteHi Joyce, mini gives the idea that we won't over eat, hahaha! These are yummy especially for people who love their food strong in taste and flavour.
ReplyDeleteMake them round in addition to being mini.... Great with beer!
ReplyDeleteHi Emily, this is a great dish to serve with rice or as a snack.
