Sui Kow Wantan Mee Soup

Simple yet complete and delicious too.  Please refer to my posting on MY Prawn/Meat Dumplings [Sui Kow] for the ingredients for the dumplings and soup stock.

For the noodle soup you just need the following ingredients.

Ingredients
[per serving]
1 bundle of store bought wantan noodles [or any noodles preferred]
some mustard leaves [choy sum] - washed and cut into small pieces or any leafy vegetable available - lettuce/spinach/baby bok choy etc
some spring onions - chopped
some garlic crisps
a dash of pepper and sesame oil
some cut chillies, pickled chillies or sambal belacan

  • Bring a pot of water to boil.  Blanched vegetables, remover and set aside.
  • Cook noodles in  boiling water.  Drain and place on serving bowl.  Top up with blanched vegetables, dumplings and scoop hot soup over noodles.  Add garlic crisps, spring onions, pepper and sesame oil.
  • Serve with chillies and soy sauce.

    1. Thanks. I liked this 'Cheng Thong' style of noodles for lunch complete with any leafy greens that I can find in my fridge. My friend taught me to add a little sambal belacan to the soup, wah, it's good for extra 'kick'.
