FRIED NAM YEE PORK BELLY

This recipe is quite similar to my earlier posting My Mum's Recipe, with just a little difference in the marinade.  Both are as delicious and you may need some skill in frying the pork belly pieces.
Yummy, delicious fried pork belly that is crispy and tender .
Ingredients
300 gm pork belly - skinned removed [cut into 4-5 inches pieces]
Marinade
1 piece red fermented beancurd [nam yee]
1/2 tbsp nam yee juice
3 cloves garlic - chopped or grated
1 tsp light soy sauce
1/2 tbsp shaoxing wine
1/2 tbsp each sugar and oyster sauce
1/4 tsp 5 spice powder
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp sesame seed oil
dash of chicken stock granules
1/2 tbsp plain flour + 1 tbsp cornflour
50 ml water
  1. Marinate pork belly pieces with the marinade ingredients.  Rub and mix until the water is well absorbed by the meat.
  2. Marinate for several hours or overnight.
  3. Heat up enough oil in a wok, fry pork belly pieces until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Dish and drain.  Sliced to serve.

I love this dish. Cooked it just few days ago. With chicken wings also taste good.
