Roasted pork ribs cooked in various flavours are always awesome with rice. The already tasty roasted pork ribs braised in dark vinegar is as good.
As mentioned in my previous post on Roasted Pork Fried Rice, roasted pork or pork ribs can be recooked in various flavours and each is as good.
500 gm roasted pork ribs - cut in big chunks or slices
3 bulbs arrowroot - peeled and sliced
1 stalk spring onions - cut sections
a few slices of ginger
2 star anise
2 tbsp light soy sauce [less if the roasted pork is salty]
1/2 tsp five spice powder
1 tsp rock sugar
2 tbsp cooking wine
- Heat some oil in a non-stick pan, saute spring onions, ginger and star anise until aromatic. Add in the roasted pork and arrowroot pieces, stir fry until lightly brown and fragrant.
- Add in the seasoning ingredients. Stir fry well, pour in enough water to cover the ingredients.
- Bring to boil, cover and simmer until ingredients are tender and gravy is reduced.
- Dish up to serve with rice.
